Simplifying Your Content Creation for 2025: How to Create More Content in Less Time
Jan 20, 2025
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the thought of consistently creating content while juggling your business, personal life, and goals, you’re not alone. In fact, one of the most common questions I’ve been asked is, “How do you create so much content without being on social media all day?”
The answer lies in a structured approach to content planning and repurposing—a strategy that not only saves time but ensures your content aligns with your monthly goals. This blog post breaks down the exact framework I use, inspired by my own experience managing a business, a podcast, and a family. Let’s dive in!
Step 1: Start with a Long-Form Content Anchor
When I launched my business, I knew I couldn’t spend hours on social media. With a demanding C-Suite job and twin daughters in kindergarten, my time was incredibly limited. Instead, I focused on creating one long-form piece of content each week. For me, that was my podcast.
If podcasting isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other options:
-
Blog posts
-
Newsletters
-
YouTube videos
-
Substack articles
-
Private podcasts
Choose a format you’re excited about, and commit to it weekly. This long-form content will serve as the foundation for all your other content.
Step 2: Monthly Planning Framework
Consistency starts with a plan. Around the 15th of every month, I set aside time to outline the content for the following month. Here’s the exact framework I use:
1. Define Your Monthly Goal
Ask yourself: What do I want people to take action on this month?
-
Are you launching a new product or service?
-
Are you nurturing your audience ahead of a future launch?
Example: In January, my goal might be to promote the Crush the Rush Club. I tailor my messaging to highlight its benefits, such as access to experts and a 90-day strategy guide.
2. Identify Key Dates
Life happens. List out personal and professional dates that could impact your schedule, such as:
-
School holidays
-
Travel plans
-
Launch deadlines
Example: If your kids have spring break mid-month, plan lighter content during that time to avoid unnecessary stress.
3. Establish Core Messaging Themes
Core messaging themes, or content pillars, are the backbone of your strategy. For my Crush the Rush Club promotion, my themes include:
-
The uniqueness of the membership
-
Overcoming stagnation in business
-
Simplifying complex strategies
4. Address Client Challenges
Understanding your audience’s pain points allows you to create content that resonates deeply.
Examples of challenges:
-
Feeling stuck and not seeing results
-
Struggling with time management
-
Downloading courses without implementing them effectively

Step 3: Create Your Long-Form Content
With your monthly plan in place, creating content becomes straightforward. For my podcast, I map out four episodes each month that align with my goals and themes. If you’re not podcasting, these could be blog posts or newsletters.
Step 4: The Content Repurposing Roadmap
Once your long-form content is ready, it’s time to repurpose it. My roadmap transforms each podcast episode into 13 pieces of content across various platforms. Here’s how it breaks down:
1. 2 Blog Posts:
-
Write a full blog post based on the episode (like this one!).
-
The second is the show notes
2. 3 Instagram Posts:
- We create two reels and a carousel post from the episode.
- One reel is a video from the podcast recording and the second reel is b-roll with text overlaying. It's all made from templates that we repeat every week.
3. 2 Pieces of YouTube Content
-
Upload the podcast recording as a full-length video.
-
Repurpose key insights into a YouTube Short.
4. 2 pieces of Pinterest content
- One is a story pin
- One is based on the blog post
5. 2 LinkedIn posts
-
Share a reel or video clip.
-
Repurpose the carousel post for a professional audience.
6. 2 Emails
- One email gets made into our Sunday strategy stack which gives the readers a strategy tip for the week.
- One email gets sent at the end of the month with our full podcast playlist.
That is 13 pieces of content. All from a 10-minute monthly content planning session and about 20 minutes of repurposing.
Step 5: Tools and Templates for Efficiency
Content repurposing doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Here are a few tools I use to streamline the process:
-
AI Writing Tools: Use AI to draft blog posts, captions, and more.
-
Design Platforms: Canva templates make creating social media graphics quick and easy.
-
Project Management Tools: Trello or Asana helps keep your roadmap organized.
Pro Tip: Save templates for recurring content. For example, my Instagram reels follow the same format each week, saving me hours of editing time.
Step 6: Aligning Actions with Goals
No matter how sophisticated your content strategy is, it’s essential to ensure your actions align with your goals. AI tools can assist with repurposing, but only you can determine the best way to connect with your audience and meet your objectives.
Does your content plan create relationships, build trust, and guide potential clients toward your offerings?
Final Thoughts: Content That Works for You
Creating content doesn’t have to be overwhelming or time-consuming. By following this structured approach to planning and repurposing, you can:
-
Save time and reduce stress
-
Ensure alignment between your content and your goals
-
Build stronger relationships with your audience
