Maximizing Productivity: The Power of One Notebook Rule and My #1 Planning Hack
Feb 29, 2024In what might be the shortest blog post in CTR history, I am sharing a game-changing tip that has significantly boosted my productivity as a business strategist for female entrepreneurs.
Taking Control of Your Calendar and To-Do List
At our monthly Crush the Rush planning parties, I emphasize the importance of consistency in planning. Whether you prefer a paper planner (our Crush the Rush small business planner is the best, just saying) or digital, the key is to find what works for you. But here's the golden nugget: you're 40% more likely to achieve your goals by writing them down on paper.
The Game-Changing Tip
For ultimate productivity, embrace the One Notebook Rule. I use Click-Up for business planning but carry a dedicated notebook with blank pages everywhere. Not my planner or my computer, just a notebook (with a cute cover but that's just me). Each day, I jot down the date and carry it with me, capturing to-do items, call notes, or even random thoughts.
The DO-DELEGATE-DELETE-DEFER Method
At day's end, I review the notebook alongside my planner. Using the DO-DELEGATE-DELETE-DEFER method, I decide what to do next. If a task needs action, I time block it or input it into Click-Up. If it's just a passing thought, I let it be. Delegating tasks to the team or deferring them completes the process.
Introducing a new private podcast series that’s just for you if you’re sick of all the Instagram BS! (or insert social channel of your choice). You can build a business without being a slave to the social engine. Grab the free series.
The Magic of One Notebook
No more searching for post-it notes or scattered ideas. Everything is consolidated in the 2024 notebook, simplifying organization. Some notebooks even come with page numbers for a handy table of contents—genius, right?

I'm curious—do you have a One Notebook Rule? How has it transformed your productivity? Let's unlock the potential of streamlined planning together.
