In this week's blog post, we are doing something special to end the first month of 2024 and bring in my executive assistant and organizer extraordinaire to pull back the curtains even more on how we are creating content and repurposing content in 2024.
Content is King.
Content builds trust, creates authority, and builds a relationship. And relationships sell.
If you want to make more money, a bigger impact, etc in 2024, create valuable content. And do it consistently.
That's it.
Here is how we are doing it inside the Crush the Rush Headquarters.
The issue that I was having this year was that I was the bottleneck. We have hired people to help us repurpose everywhere from the podcast to Pinterest to Linked In, etc., and if there was a question it was all segregated based on platform and all came to me. So while our repurposing strategy was working, it needed a bit of a makeover which is where my
administrative assistant Karalee came in.
The Best Tool to Help Repurpose Content You Already Have
It all starts with a piece of long-form content. Figure out what the current concerns are and look at what you are currently doing for your repurposing strategy. Ask yourself, what in the process isn't working the way you feel like it should?
Introducing a new private podcast series that’s just for you if you’re sick of all the Instagram BS! (or insert social channel of your choice). You can build a business without being a slave to the social engine. Grab the free series.
For us, I wanted to be able to post on multiple places with ease and see everything in one calendar, not multiple. We've used Planoly, but it was missing the ability for one person to just go in and schedule something to multiple platforms at the same time.
Benefits of Using a Tool Like This
In addition to being able to see all of the posts and posting to multiple places without copying and pasting and seeing things in one calendar, it also has reports. It takes your analytics and puts them into one PDF based on the month and will send it to you.
It is easy to delegate things to your team and streamline their responsibilities.
So I can take an Instagram reel from a podcast episode and in about one minute post it to Instagram, YouTube shorts, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Then, it also gets repurposed into a blog. That's five places in less than a minute.
How to Get Started With Content Repurposing
First, get past the mental block of being afraid of repeating yourself over and over. It is honestly what you need to do! It can be done in a simple way and will save you so much time and creativity to not always being creating something new, when what you already have is gold!
I think you can tell that having a focused discussion on how to streamline our content brought about big changes. This year we are focused on podcast growth, re-visiting YouTube and Linked In, and continuing to repurpose on IG and use tools like Many Chat to help us nurture our audience without being online.
