In this week's blog post, I am taking you behind the scenes into what I think is the most powerful tool in any program, specifically our mastermind, and that is the weekly office hours.
I call it office hours because it kind of reminds me of the open-door policy some of my favorite college professors had where if you had any questions you could just pop in and ask, but we made it way cooler than that.
Customized Accountability
Inside our
mastermind for female entrepreneurs, I think the biggest growth tool is
accountability and the fact that you have someone (in this case an entire group) in your back pocket for nine whole months. At some point in your business career, you have to stop consuming and actually implement and take action. And that is exactly what this weekly call is designed to do.
I come to the 90-minute call every week prepared with questions to ask, but I also work 1:1 with each person prior. I share this because that's the difference. It is customized. I know your long-term vision (we map it out together). I know your kid's schedule, when your vacation is, your frustration (I take notes), and try to anticipate every week what you need.
Recent Questions I Asked Our Current Mastermind Members During Office Hours
But instead of just telling you this, I want to show you how it works. So here are some of the more recent questions I have asked some of our current mastermind members during our office hour sessions in the hopes that it can help you too.
How you want to feel?
First up, we always focus on how you want to feel. How do you actually want to feel this week? Confident? Get up and get dressed every day. I am joking, but there are weeks when I want to wear leggings every day, and some weeks that is OK...how do you really want to feel? I had a client say this week that they wanted to feel like they were making progress. Maybe you can relate.
What would make you feel like you making progress? Have you looked back at what you have accomplished? Have you taken action and reminded yourself that you can control your energy and the action steps but not the outcome? What data would make you feel like you are making progress?
The goal is that we know how we want to feel for the week and have action steps to take to help us stay aligned. Note that this really isn't about business, but I would argue probably one of the most important conversations because it changes your actions.
What is your biggest challenge right now?
Imagine if you could share your biggest challenge every week and then have a group of people to help you work through it. So now you are not only feeling confident (because we know how we want to feel), but also just got a whole bucket of ideas on how to get through our roadblock. It is pretty powerful.
If you are following along you can journal these each week.

Money Making Activities
The third most popular topic is what are the "money-making" activities that I can focus on this week? This is where the power of the group comes in. Sometimes we think we are taking the right steps but they might not be aligned with our long-term vision, or we are doing busy work and realize that the ONE thing we need to do is literally right in front of us.
I had a client who was pivoting from her corporate career into a consultant-type role. She had a great idea on how to serve her future clients and dove into creating a lead magnet, newsletter, etc., the things you need to grow your audience and attract clients. And yes, this is a great step. During our office hours, we had a conversation and I said, if you have people ready to work with you, why aren't you asking them right now? You don't need all those things today. In the long run yes, but not today. Long story short she reached out to them and booked a client in 72 hours.
That's the power of brainstorming together.
If you are stuck, we get you unstuck. If you are frustrated, we work through it. If you don't know what to focus on, we help you focus.

- What is your biggest challenge right now?
- What are your money-making activities and do they align with your goals?
Some of of my other favorite questions to ask are 1) What is working right now? Because the whole group can benefit. 2) What are you thankful for? (Gratitude can change the game) and 3) What do you need help with?
Asking for help is something we are trained to not do. But showing up every week and simply saying "I need help" can honestly change your entire life.
The Power of Working Together
These sessions are truly my favorite because they are SO powerful. So real. And so raw. We get to know you, your family, your goals, and your dreams and literally stand beside you holding your hand and making them come to life. Whether or not you decide to join our
mastermind or not, I would encourage you to ask yourself these questions each week. And truly slow down to speed up. Slow down every Monday (or choose your day) to make sure your activities are in alignment with what you really want.
As James Clear says - "Sometimes all you need for exceptional results is average effort repeated for an above-average amount of time." I'd like to think our office hours offer growth questions that will give you exceptional results because it is repeated slowly over time.
Working together is just better.
I'd also love for you to try these questions in your weekly schedule each week. Take some time on your calendar, block it out, and journal them. How did they help you? I'd love to hear from you.
