Welcome Back to part TWO of our Scaling with Strategy and Soul Series. Last week we chatted about the masculine and feminine sides of goal setting. This week we are digging into the flow of making money. As in right now.
The year has started, how do you make money right now?
Let's start with the feminine side first. How's your relationship with money? For me, becoming comfortable with making money and spending money was a huge hurdle at the beginning of growing a business. This is something you need to be comfortable with. One of my favorite mentors always says "My desires will never misguide me - As my prices rise, so does my magnetism".
Working On Your Money Mindset
The #1 way I deal with my money mindset is
education and
affirmation. Every January I listen to Jen Sincero's
book You're a Badass at Making Money, as an audiobook. Her voice is the kick in the pants everyone needs. I also re-write my money affirmations. Here are a few that are on repeat right now.
My Money Affirmations
- I am not the person that gets to control destiny. I get to show up in it (This is releasing control which I am REALLY bad at).
- I attract high-vibe clients who are ready to scale to the next level.
- I earn everything I desire.
- I trust my intuition and allow the next step to happen.
This doesn't mean I don't have anxiety about money, but I do have tools that make me feel more comfortable with it. And the flow of spending. I believe energy is currency. I want to attract clients that pay in full, go all in, and commit to the program, so I do that. Your focus and flow are what you attract.
The Masculine Strategy of Making More Money
On the flip side, the strategy of making more money is actually very masculine. There are a few ways you can do that right now without creating anything new.
#1 - Know your numbers.
We did a podcast episode about how important it is to know your numbers (you can find it and the show notes here), but understand where your money is coming from and where it is going. When you know the facts, it is much easier to make decisions.
#2 - What are your clients asking for?
What is happening in their world that you can solve and make easier? So often we think it has to be fancy, but the answer to how to make money actually just boils down to how can you help?
#3 - Don't overthink it.
What can you do right now? What do you have right now? I'll give you an example. One Saturday in November I was up early (it is my favorite creative time) and brainstorming about some future offers. They always come to me at the most random times. I dug into my
philosophy of the 80/20 rule and thought, how can I serve my current clients right now?

The #1 thing they always ask for (going back to point #2) is more 1:1 time, which I love but time is so valuable. So I threw out an offer for 24 hours for them to get 1:1 time with me. It helped me because I wanted to serve them more, but also learn about what they were doing behind the scenes to craft future offers better. It helped them because it was a ridiculously valuable price. I am not advocating your new offer be a 24-hour flash sale, but I do think you have a lot to offer.
What can you bundle together to make it easier?
How can you combine your time with support?
Voxer calls?
Quick intensives?
A private podcast?
A masterclass?
DFY services?
A new product?
Maybe one you already have but you re-vamp or make better?
I guarantee you can come up with one new thing right now if you put your mind to it. Then offer it to your best clients and see what happens.
A Final Tip For Making Money
My last tip on making money is don't forget your best future customers are the ones that are already your customers. Lean into them. Serve them. There is a reason that customer service is such a huge industry. Ultimately customer retention long term is what is going to help you scale faster.
So there you have it, two very different approaches to make money right now, but when combined can be super powerful. I recommend reviewing your affirmations daily, finding a great mentor to help with accountability, and having a good brainstorming session to work through.
