This week on the blog, I want to share our social media strategy AND how it has performed week after week 95% better than our previous strategy. Overall, we have reached 92% more accounts. 92%. And social isn't even our main driver! Yes, we have one. The best part is our social strategy is 75% repurposed content, which means I am not sitting staring at my laptop wondering what to post because it is driven by other content that has been created in my business.
Going into a new year I always take time to review what is working and what is not. At the start of 2023, I knew we needed to change up our social content, but wanted to do it in a way that I would be online less. Sounds good, right?
Working with
Ybanez Media I had a strategy session where we chatted about the trends we were seeing in copy, not just social. What were people responding to? As a business coach for female entrepreneurs and business strategist, what did I enjoy teaching? What made me stand out?
The answer: Using my voice more. Or what Kayla Ybanez calls spicy content.
What is spicy content?
I'll give you an example. As a business strategist, one of my favorite things to do is teach. But sometimes sharing three ways to do something doesn't always get the attention it should, even though it's really good content. So we started layering on a spicy strategy.
In other words, what's the show-stopping headline that will stop you and make you want to hear more?
- ig is not a business strategy.
- Doing a podcast tour will not get you more clients
- One year ago I quit my corporate job and most of my colleagues didn't know I had a business.
See how those stop you? So that was change #1.
Change #2
Change #2 was I don't want to be on social all day. So we re-vamped our repurposing strategy.
How we Re-vamped our repurposing strategy
This blog post gets turned into three social posts. A reel, with me talking (which obviously I do), a text swipe carousel posts, and a wave file (podcast graphic) which my team does. So out of the gate each week we have three posts. And it takes me less than 10 minutes. They get scheduled and the week is off to a great start. Being a productivity coach, I then work to layer in additional education posts that I am actually pulling from my courses. So again, repurposing.

Change #3
The third change and we are still playing around with it, but
99% of our posts are not sales. The sales are coming from intentional IG stories and networking (that
anti-social plan at work). 100% of our mastermind members came from current relationships. 75% of our club members come from hearing me speak on a summit or podcast and then take one of our challenges or masterclasses. We set up ways to get to know you better and work with you for free so you can get results, which makes joining our other programs a no-brainer.
How to Spice Up YOUR Content
I encourage you to think about 1) how you can use your voice more? Stand out. Don't be afraid to share your opinion. 2) Repurpose, repurpose, repurpose. You will see this blog post in three different posts and I bet you won't even realize it! Different people see different posts and take different things away. You never know what will resonate. And 3) serve first. Always. Teach. Get them a win. The rest will fall into place.
