Stop using Time as an Excuse
Oct 11, 2020I debated on the name of this post as but all week as I have answered questions in DM’s and messages and emails. I kept noticing the SAME question come up.
I am afraid I won’t have time.
Or AH, I am just so busy, I don’t know if I can fit it in.
Gosh, things are so crazy, how do you make time.
I see you hustling. I see you wanting to do more. I also see you wanting to slow down and enjoy more of what you love.
Here’s the quote that got me this week.
To be in your children's memories tomorrow, you have to be in their life today. ❤️
When my girls grow up I want them to look back and...
❤️Remember a house of love and creativity
❤️Have the courage to do what they love because they saw their parents doing the same
❤️Know that their dreams matter. And be inspired to follow them
❤️Remember their parents working hard, but also making time for what matters most
❤️Continue to create a legacy for our family
This is what keeps me going every day. This is why I get up early, do late-night meetings, and like yesterday, dropped everything to go play football in the leaves and take a field trip exploring downtown. 👩👧👧
So what do we do you ask?
I have learned that you can still grow a business (and build that legacy while...
✨Taking a break from social media
✨Not having to be all places at all times
✨Not burning out (i.e. I am in this for the long term)
Time is short. You have to use it wisely. It's so easy to get lost in the details and the hustle (trust me I do!) But don't lose sight of the long term dream.
For a bonus tip on how I focus on being present, check out Episode 02 on the Crush the Rush Podcast.
Ask then yourself this.
Can you keep going at the pace you are going and get to where you want to be? Maybe you want to go faster? But you want to do it the right way?
Maybe you want to go slower but make more of an impact.
Maybe its somewhere in between but you know what you are currently doing is not going to get you there.
This is why I do what I do. Because there is a better way. You can run a business on a limited time and still be successful. I say measure the metrics that matter in life. ❤️And guess what. It's not the likes and saves.
Use these questions to help you conduct a mini business audit…
- When was the last time you sat down and mapped out your goals and dreams? As in not just tomorrow or next week but the next 3-5 years?
- How are you working on yourself and managing your time? Most of my clients take the first month to dial in their routine, because when they do that then the business goals becomes much more clear.
- Who are you surrounded by to support you? YOur circle needs to be strong. And I say it often, because it is so true. YOu need someone 2-3 steps ahead of you that you can lean on. That understands your challenges and understands your schedule.
I made something just for you to help you figure this priority thing out. How would it feel to accomplish 3X more with a given system and strategy. You don’t need more time. And see success in your business (and more importantly focus more on what you love). It is here for you. And only open a few more days.
Get out of the rush. And stop feeling overwhelmed. You can do this. ❤️The freedom is so sweet. You just have to do things differently. And I can teach you.
If you get kind of sort of effort, you get kind of sort of results. So why not do the next best thing and focus on getting to the next best step?
The playbook is open only a few more days and here’s the catch. It is meant for those that are busy. I designed it so that you can do it in 10-15 minutes at a time and then spend about an hour a week implementing it. It is self-paced but there is built in accountability. Because I believe in it SO much. I am there with you walking you through it answering your questions. So you can ask me LIVE through office hours or 1:1 sessions.
I know you were taught that more time = more results, but that is simply not the case. Once you have a clear vision and strategy and then layer in systems and a social media plan that doesn’t take hours a day, it is gold. More success is simply having the right focus.
So I will ask you again. If you are going at your current pace, once that you can’t keep up for the next 3-5 years, what are you going to do about it? It is time to make a change. Working more used to be a badge of honor but let’s change that. Let's show our families and our teams and our friends, that we can build that schedule and life that we love. And actually enjoy why we started being an entrepreneur in the first place.
See you on the inside!
