Supercharge Your Content Creation with Google Gemini
Jun 14, 2024Are you feeling the pressure to constantly pump out fresh content? Does the idea of creating for multiple platforms leave you exhausted before you even begin? Well, buckle up, because today we're diving into the future of content creation with a little something called Google Gemini!
Discovering Google Gemini
I honestly can't pinpoint how I stumbled upon Google Gemini—perhaps it was during one of our office hours calls in the Club—but switching from ChatGPT (which our community affectionately calls "Chad") to Google Gemini has been a game-changer. This switch has taken our content repurposing to the next level while maintaining my unique voice. No more generic "let's skyrocket your sales" messages that scream AI-generated content. With Gemini, you can create content that sounds like you, not like a robot.
Google Gemini is currently in beta testing and is set to launch in June 2024. Its potential for busy entrepreneurs and creators like you and me is HUGE. Let’s unpack what it is and how it can transform your content strategy, especially during the summer when schedules can be a bit more chaotic.
What is Google Gemini?
Google Gemini is an AI-powered assistant specifically designed to help you repurpose your existing content into fresh, engaging material for all your platforms. Think of it as your personal content chameleon, taking your existing content and transforming it into various formats that resonate with different audiences.
Setting Up Google Gemini
The key to maximizing Google Gemini is taking the time to set it up properly. Remember, Google Gemini is still under development, so some features might not be available yet. However, you can personalize your Gemini experience to match your content creation style.
Tip #1: Introduce Yourself
Go to Gemini.Google.com and introduce yourself. Literally write out what you want to do and ask it questions to ask you. For example:
“I am writing new podcasts for June 2024. What questions do you need to better understand my brand, voice, and tone?”
The result? Seventeen questions that I filled in to TRAIN Gemini to better understand me.
Fine-Tuning Your AI Assistant
Here are a few ways to fine-tune your AI assistant:
- Content Voice & Tone: Do you prefer a casual and conversational approach, or a more formal and authoritative tone? Gemini can tailor its content generation to match your brand voice.
- Content Focus: Specify your areas of expertise to ensure the AI-generated content aligns with your niche and target audience.
- Content Creativity Level: Opt for full automation with your approval if you're feeling adventurous. If you need more guidance, choose a level of assistance that provides outlines or drafts for you to refine.
Tip #2: Stick to One Topic Per Thread
When training Gemini, focus on one topic per thread. For instance, if you’re discussing your podcast, stick to that thread and don’t switch topics to the Club or Anti-Social School. Save the thread and create a new one for different topics. Train each thread specifically, and pin different threads to your dashboard for easy access.
Introducing a new private podcast series that’s just for you if you’re sick of all the Instagram BS! (or insert social channel of your choice). You can build a business without being a slave to the social engine. Grab the free series.
Practical Applications of Google Gemini
So, how do you actually use it? Start with YOUR words to ensure anything repurposed maintains your authentic voice. Here are some ways we've used Gemini this week alone:
1. Create SEO-Friendly Titles
I input the podcast episode into Gemini and asked it for SEO-friendly titles for the podcast episode, YouTube, YouTube descriptions, and trending hashtags.
2. Social Media Posts
From this podcast episode, I took the entire transcript and put it into our podcast thread. It created three social posts for the week. Be specific when you use it, like:
- Create a POV view post with a strong hook and call to action for this podcast episode.
- Create a 9-slide carousel post with captions and descriptions for each slide with a strong hook and call to action for this podcast episode.
See how easy that is? And it's YOUR words. If you don't have a podcast, start with an email or blog post. Start with the LONGEST form content you have and work backward.
3. Blog to Video
We started using YouTube, and for each video, we need a specific intro. I dump into Gemini what our video is about and ask it to write a 1-minute intro. Have a blog post you want to turn into a video but don't know what to say? You can do the same thing.
4. Q&A to Blog Posts
Ever host a Q&A session and think, "There's gold in these questions!" Use Gemini to transform audience Q&A sessions into informative and engaging blog posts. This demonstrates your expertise, addresses audience pain points, and positions you as a thought leader.
5. Course Descriptions
We recently revamped all our masterclasses and mastermind strategy portal. We do this for the podcast, too. Dump it into Gemini and ask it to write a blog post. Again, be VERY specific:
- Write a blog post for this episode that is 3,000 words with a strong call to action, bullet points, and follows an SEO-friendly format.
A full blog post using your words is done in one minute or less. It’s crazy.
Additional Uses for Google Gemini
- Website Copy to Email Marketing: Spent hours on a sales page? Dump it into Gemini and ask it to write your emails for you. You can also use it to write future product descriptions, blog posts, or landing pages. I love using it to write a few emails because the sales page is in YOUR WORDS, so it doesn’t sound AI-like at all.
- Customer Reviews to Social Proof: Did you get an amazing testimonial from a client? Use Gemini to analyze positive reviews and identify key phrases or testimonials that showcase the value you provide. Turn these insights into compelling social proof content like quotes, short video testimonials, or social media posts that build trust and attract new customers.
- Live Stream Transcripts to Blog Posts: Did you just host an epic office hours or call with your community? Repurpose your live stream content into valuable blog posts with the help of Gemini. Upload transcripts from your live streams and use them as a starting point. Gemini can then help flesh out the content by suggesting additional information, related resources, or calls to action, transforming your live stream conversations into evergreen blog posts.
The Power of Your Words
By combining these techniques with the previous hacks, you can create a robust content repurposing strategy using Google Gemini, maximizing the value of your existing content and reaching new audiences across various platforms. And it’s YOUR words, not AI.
A Gamechanger For Our Business
