Before we jump into the nitty gritty of content repurposing, let's rewind a bit and revisit my journey with content creation and social media. Recognizing the need to maintain an active presence across various platforms beyond Instagram while managing a full-time job was a challenge before I left corporate. This led to the creation of our #antisocial plan and content repurposing strategy, laying the groundwork for a groundbreaking approach to digital marketing.

Content Repurposing Strategy Unveiled

At the core of our content strategy lies the Crush the Rush Podcast. What initially began as a single podcast episode has evolved into a treasure trove of content, generating a remarkable 12 unique pieces per week. From YouTube to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, our content now spans multiple platforms, expanding our reach effortlessly. I have consistently released two episodes every week and love finding out more ways to repurpose them, most recently is our YouTube channel!

In case you missed it, I recently discussed the prevailing visibility trends in 2024, emphasizing the critical role of content repurposing. Why? Because content is the cornerstone of digital marketing in the online space. It's the currency that builds trust, establishes authority, and fosters meaningful relationships. As we navigate the business landscape of 2024, creating valuable content consistently is paramount to achieving financial success and making a lasting impact.

Identifying Bottlenecks and Implementing Solutions

One of the challenges I encountered this year was becoming the bottleneck in our content repurposing process. Despite having a team to assist with repurposing tasks across various platforms, all queries and decisions were ultimately funneled back to me. While our strategy was effective, it needed refinement. That's where my administrative assistant, Karalee, stepped in to streamline our operations.

Like I mentioned above, our journey begins with a piece of long-form content (our podcast), serving as the foundation for our repurposing efforts. By assessing current concerns and evaluating existing repurposing strategies, we identified areas for improvement. We sought a solution that would allow seamless posting across multiple platforms from a single interface, eliminating the need for multiple calendars and manual scheduling.

One common misconception about our content strategy is the belief that it's outsourced. Contrary to popular belief, I'm the driving force behind content creation. By embracing content repurposing, I've reclaimed ownership of our digital narrative, showcasing that effective marketing doesn't always necessitate hefty outsourcing fees. Our content creation process remains largely in-house, underscoring the simplicity and effectiveness of our approach.

Mapping out the content journey is crucial. Whether using tools like Planoly or Metricool to streamline the process, consistency is key across all platforms. Breaking down the numbers further highlights the efficacy of our strategy, with notable increases in engagement across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Even with minor setbacks, such as a decrease in Pinterest engagement, the overall visibility and impact have surged significantly.

Let's talk numbers. In the last 30 days:

  • Facebook engagement surged by 46%, despite minimal use of the app.
  • Instagram engagement skyrocketed by 76%, highlighting the power of consistency.
  • LinkedIn remains a valuable platform, with two clients acquired in the last 90 days.
  • Utilizing Chat GPT for hashtags has streamlined our social media strategy.
  • While Pinterest engagement saw a slight dip, monthly views soared to 400K at its peak.

  1. Transcribing Long-Form Content: We kick off our process with long-form content, such as a podcast episode or blog post. For podcasts, we use tools like Temi to transcribe the audio into written form, allowing us to repurpose it for other platforms seamlessly.

  2. Creating Social Media Posts: Using Chat GPT, affectionately named Chad in our community, we generate engaging social media posts from our transcribed content. By interacting with Chad in a conversational manner, we can tailor the content to specific audiences and platforms.

  3. Enhancing Video Content: For video content, we leverage tools like the Captions app and Video.ai. The Captions app automatically adds text, titles, and hashtags to our videos, making them more accessible and shareable. Meanwhile, Video.ai helps us segment longer videos into shorter clips, perfect for sharing on social media or repurposing for other purposes.

Maximizing the Potential of AI Tools

In addition to content repurposing, AI tools like Chat GPT serve a multitude of purposes:

  • SEO-Friendly Content Creation: Chat GPT can generate SEO-friendly blog posts and podcast titles, helping to improve discoverability and reach.
  • Research Assistance: Instead of spending hours scouring the internet for information, Chat GPT can provide instant answers to specific questions, aiding in research and content development.
  • Email Outlines: By inputting content into Chat GPT, businesses can receive outlines for emails or social media posts, accelerating the content creation process.
  • Idea Generation: Chat GPT can generate ideas on various topics, providing inspiration for new content or marketing campaigns.

Exploring New AI Tools

In addition to Chat GPT, we're also exploring other AI tools like Video Ask and Loom. Video Ask facilitates customer support automation, allowing businesses to handle common queries and issues efficiently. Meanwhile, Loom's AI capabilities automatically generate introductions and summaries for video content, enhancing its impact and accessibility.

As we embrace AI technology, it's essential to establish boundaries and rules. While AI tools can be incredibly helpful, they may occasionally produce inaccurate or biased information. Human oversight and validation are super important to ensuring the reliability and integrity of the content generated and shared.

It's about how you bring new people, leads, and connections into your world every day. And guess what? It doesn't have to be overwhelming. You can do it in just one to two hours a week. Defining Your Strategy

Step 1: Identifying Pain Points and Using the Right Words Start by understanding your ideal client's pain points and providing solutions in your content. Here's a simple exercise: write down 30 pain points your client is experiencing, and on the other side, jot down 30 ways you can help. This exercise helps you focus on what's happening right now and the words your clients are using. It's a great way to generate content ideas and conversation starters that directly address your clients' needs.

Step 2: Create a Clear Help Statement Craft a clear statement explaining what you do and the transformation you provide. Keep it simple and easy to understand. For example, "I help [WHO DO YOU HELP] do [WHAT DO YOU DO] to achieve [SPECIFIC TRANSFORMATION]." This statement makes it easy to explain your business and engage in meaningful conversations.

Step 3: Create Your Home Base Choose a platform where your clients can engage with you and receive valuable content. Whether it's a podcast, email list, blog, or online community, your home base should be a place where you can nurture relationships and provide resources. Focus on the customer journey and consistently bring new people into your world through organic conversations, networking events, and valuable content.

Make client attraction a priority in your weekly schedule. Nurture relationships, share client testimonials, and offer valuable resources to attract new clients. Consistency and authenticity are key to building trust and growing your business.
